Our learning

Slightly belated, this is a summary of our English and Maths learning from last week.

ENGLISH:

• Evacuee Day- Drama activities including freeze-framing, hot seating and conscience alley to help us understand and empathise with evacuees.
• Writing and editing of diary entries as evacuee characters.
• Apostrophes for omission and possession
• Reading of LFTL focusing on expression and fluency.

Homework

• Writing of letter from evacuee character's mother (for Wednesday).
• Read 'Hitler Will Send No Warning' chapter in LFTL (for Monday).
• Spelling- mixed words (for Friday).  

MATHS:

• Multiplying decimals by integers (3.26 x 8 etc.) using both mental and written methods.
• Dividing decimals by integers using mental and written methods.
• Using both of the above in problems in particular using measures and money (3.75kg divided by 3 etc.)

Homework:

• Complete all assignments given using the Mangahigh maths platform.
