HOMEWORK AND HOMEWORK DIARIES- AN UPDATE!

HOMEWORK AND HOMEWORK DIARIES

-We have decided to change the day that we look at and sign the homework diaries, to make it easier to monitor.  Instead of a Wednesday, we would like you to check your child´s homework at the WEEKEND and Mrs King or Mrs Harrison will look and sign on a MONDAY.

Each week your child should write in:
- Monday´s date
- Their Spanish, English and Maths homeworks
- What they are reading and their quiz score when they have completed it
- Their score on their Friday spelling test
- Any additional useful information (e.g. reminders)

If children do not hand in homework then we will highlight this in their diary to make it clear that they missed when it should have been handed in.

Absent children´s homework is put in their drawer ready for when they return to school.

Homework cannot be done in school breaktimes and lunchtimes.

If your child is struggling to keep on top of their homework, please let Mrs King know and she will send you a timetable to help them structure their week.

MEDICAL:
If your child has a verified medical reason not to do P.E. then of course children are allowed to not participate. However, if they are feeling a little ill or have a mild discomfort then please let us know and he will adapt the PE lesson so that as many children as possible can participate.  The children only have 1 hour of PE a week and it is an important part of their curriculum.
